Registering for a websites RSS feed is the easiest way for you to stay up to date on everything that we publish on our website! In fact, you can get started right away by subscribing to our feed. Still not sure about this whole RSS thing, no problem we will explain.
What is this RSS Thing Anyways?
According to Wikipedia, RSS, also known as Really Simple Syndication, is a huge family of web feed formats that are used to publish frequently updated works. These works can include items such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and even video. Typically, an RSS document, often called a feed, or channel, includes either full or a summarized text as well as the meta data such as publishing dates and authorship for the work.
Web feeds benefit publishers like us by allowing us to syndicate our content automatically. They also benefit readers that want to subscribe to timely updates from their favorite websites or that want to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place, which can be done through an RSS reader.
RSS readers are pieces of software which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile-device-based. They allow you to collect all of your favorite feeds from around the web and view them in one place, kind of like creating your own website that only publishes content from sources that interest you. Pretty neat huh?
