Georgia Real Estate Commission
The Georgia Real Estate Commission administers the license law that regulates brokers, salespersons, and community association managers. In addition, the Real Estate Commission supplies staff support to the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board, but has no authority over the administration of the Georgia Appraisal Act. |
Hawaii Department of Consumer Affairs

Idaho Real Estate Commission
The Idaho Real Estate Commission is in charge of administering and enforcing the license law for real estate brokers, salespersons and certain business entities, and with administering the Idaho Subdivided Lands Disposition Act (Chapter 18, Title 55, Idaho Code). |
Illinois Bureau of Real Estate Professions

Iowa Professional Licensing Bureau
The Mission of the Iowa Real Estate Commission is to protect the public through the examination, licensing, and regulation of real estate brokers, salespersons, and firms pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 543B, “Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons”; to administer Iowa Code chapter 543C, “Sales of Subdivided Land Outside of Iowa”; and to administer Iowa Code chapter 557A, “Iowa Time-Share Act.” |
Kansas Real Estate Commission

Maine Office of Licensing and Registration
The Office of Licensing and Registration (“OLR”) maintains approximately 104,000 active licenses in fields ranging from accountancy to veterinary medicine. Requests for assistance from licensees and members of the public are handled through email, telephone calls, letters and on a walk-in basis at their office in Gardiner. |

Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers & Salespersons
The Real Estate Board licenses only those candidates who meet the statutory and regulatory requirements for real estate brokers and salespersons. In carrying out its mission, the Board regulates real estate schools and agent curriculum and contracts with a testing vendor to provide the agent examination. Of equal importance, the Board seeks to protect consumers by exercising its authority to discipline those real estate agents who violate licensing laws and regulations. |
Michigan State Board of Real Estate Brokers & Salespersons
The Michigan Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons was created under Article 25 of Public Act 299 of 1980, as amended, to license and regulate the practice of real estate brokers and salespersons in Michigan. |
Minnesota Department of Commerce
Real estate licensing is done online through their vendor, Pearson VUE. The Department has worked with Pearson VUE to develop the PULSE (Pearson VUE Uniform Licensing System for E-Government) system, which allows you to apply for licenses, renew existing licenses, check on continuing education, and perform other tasks, such as updating an address. Mississippi Real Estate Commission
The Mississippi Real Estate Commission (MREC) administers control over the commercial real estate industry in the State of Mississippi, licensing all real estate brokers and salespersons. MREC works to assure that all real estate transactions are performed in a professional and ethical manner. Potential licensees undergo comprehensive testing and are subjected to continuing education requirements. |
Missouri Real Estate Commission
Under the provisions of the real estate act, no real estate broker or salesperson may act as such without first procuring a license from the Commission. Other responsibilities include investigating complaints generated by consumers against the acts of a real estate licensee and auditing real estate escrow accounts to verify proper handling of buyers’ earnest money. The Commission also approves all real estate pre-licensing and continuing education courses. |
Montana Board of Realty Regulation
The Board of Realty is now managed by the Business Standards Division which is a newly created entity within the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. The Division has been established as a result of Senate Bill 445 (2001 Legislative Session) which reorganized the Montana Department of Commerce. |
