Nevada Real Estate Pre-License Requirements:
The State of Nevada has set forth some requirements that govern a persons eligibility to obtain a real estate license within the state. Those requirements can be found below:
- All applicants will be required to have two separate fingerprint cards that have been processed through a government agency. The fingerprints must have been taken within a year prior to applying for your real estate license.
- All applicants must complete and have proof of, 45 hours or 3 college credits of real estate principles in a state approved real estate school. Nevada may accept pre-licensing education from another state, please see the reciprocity section below.
- All applicants must successfully complete the Nevada State real estate exam within twelve months of licensing.
Nevada Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements:
Every agent in Nevada is required to complete specific post license requirements to keep their real estate license active. Those requirements are:
- All actively licensed agents must complete thirty hours of approved courses the first year of their license. Those courses should include a minimum of three hours each of, Agency, Contracts, Ethics, and Law & Legislation along with eighteen hours of General courses.
- Every year after the first, agents must complete a total of twenty-four hours of approved post license education. Those courses should consist of twelve hours of required courses include three hours each of Agency, Contracts, Ethics, and Law & Legislation and twelve hours of elective credits in designated Agency, Contracts, Ethics and Law & Legislation and/or General courses.
