Is a Real Estate License in Your Future?

You are considering a career in the real estate field. Now what? Do you need training? If so, what are the requirements, where do you find school information? How hard is it to join the ranks of real estate agents throughout the country? And is it worth your while to do so?

1. Training? Courses for real estate licensing are offered in most community colleges, online through a number real estate schools, and even through local real estate companies. Real Estate License Direct offers a wide selection of training resources.

2. License Requirements? License requirements are based on your State. In most states the minimum age requirement is 18 (but not all).  Some states require High School graduate or equivalent while others require 4 years of college. 3. Testing? Joining a Real Estate Company – This is not a difficult task, but a task that many new agents take too lightly.  Look for a company with values that match your own and with a commission policy that will allow you to continue to eat while establishing yourself.  Remember you are interviewing them just as they are interviewing you. Talk to agents within the company and get their feedback on working conditions, expectations etc.

5. Is it worth it? Heck YEAH!  Real estate is a great career. Now get out there and be the best agent you can be.
