Georgia Real Estate License

Below are the Requirements for Getting a Real Estate License in Georgia.

1. Applicants must complete a seventy-five hour pre-licensing real estate salesperson’s course through a state approved facility, or

2. Applicants must complete ten quarter hours or six semester hours of approved real estate courses administered through an accredited college or university. (All College credits have to meet “normal” degree requirements in order for this to be approved).

3. The Georgia Real Estate Commission requires that all applicants must have graduated high school or be the holder of a certificate of equivalence.

4. Real estate salesperson’s are required to take a twenty-five hour Real Estate Salesperson post-license course within their first year of licensure. Your chosen course must be approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission. Should you fail to complete a post-license course within your first year of receiving your license it will cause your real estate license to lapse.

5. All real estate licensees licensed after January 1, 1980 will be required to complete a minimum of twenty-four hours of continued education course work at a state approved facility during each four year renewal period in order to maintain their real estate license.
