Delaware Real Estate License

Requirements for Obtaining a Real Estate License in the State of Delaware.

1. All applicants must complete a ninety-nine hour pre-licensing course in a State accredited school.

2. Applicants must successfully complete(pass) the two-part standardized real estate salesperson licensing exam. After completing the course, you are eligible to sit a maximum of three times for the two part standardized licensing examination, which will be administered by a professional testing service.

3. You have to submit your original real estate license application that is distributed by the testing service after successfully completing your examination to the Real Estate Commission Board within a maximum of one year of the completion of the pre-licensing course. Your application should include the pro-rated license fee and the Guaranty Fund fee of $25.00 which should be payable to the State of Delaware, also a copy of your certificate from the pre-licensing course and any other documentation that may be listed on the application.

4. Applicants must submit an affidavit that states you have not engaged in any acts or offenses that would be grounds for discipline pursuant to the State of Delaware real estate regulations.

The Delaware Real Estate Commission Board usually conducts monthly meetings to review applications and other related business, also all real estate license applicants will be informed in writing as to the disposition of their applications within 7 to 10 business days.
