To meet the requirements set forth by the State of Arkansas, all real estate applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Applicants must successfully complete a minimum of sixty classroom hours of real estate education in a state approved school. Thirty of those classroom hours must be in the basic principles of real estate.
• Applicants must successfully complete the real estate license examination.
• Applicants must be sure to send all of the proper forms and fees to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission no later than ninety days after passing the real estate licensing exam.

All newly licensed real estate agents are required to complete their Post-License education within the first year of issuance of their license. New agents are required to complete eighteen classroom hours. The Arkansas Real Estate Commission will establish the course content.

If the Post-License requirements are not completed within the first year of issuance of the real estate license the license will be placed on inactive status until completed.
